David Richmond, an esteemed leader and speaker, is known for his wit, compelling personal story, and inspiring leadership principles from his military and non-profit executive careers. Faculty: David Richmond, a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, is COO of the non-profit Worldmaker International. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Contact Group, a Partner Charity of the Royal Foundation’s Heads Together Campaign and convener of UK military charities and governmental agencies engaged in delivering mental health support to veterans and their families. After 26 years of British Army service, Richmond received a medical discharge for serious battle wounds that required four years of reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation. He went on to serve as Recovery Director at Help for Heroes, creating and overseeing services for over 18,000 wounded, injured and sick servicemen, veterans and families. Richmond was a Partnership Board Member of the UK Invictus Games, a UK Invictus Games Team Director, and a member of the Defence Recovery Board. He is is Chairman of Boccia UK, which is the National Governing Board for the paralympic sport of Boccia, and a member of the Kings College for Military Health Research Advisory Board, the Advisory Board of Try for Change, and the Core Advisory Group of the NatCen Mental Health Evidence Review commissioned by the Forces in Mind Trust. He has advised other nations on creating or developing their own recovery services for wounded, injured and ill servicemen, veterans and families, including working with the United States Air Force and supporting NATO in advising the Ukraine.
