Basic Function:
The Terminal Superintendent is responsible for the overall onsite management of Eco-Energy’s midstream bulk
distribution terminal in Newton, Iowa to include, but not limited to, terminal operations, safety adherence,
performance metrics, maintenance, regulatory compliance, budget reconciliation, personnel matters, staff training,
emergency response, and inventory control.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Overall onsite management responsibility for Eco-Energy’s renewable feedstock aggregation asset located
in Newton, Iowa.
• Thorough understanding of rail and storage operations;
• Conduct inventory management policies and procedures;
• Facilitate the loading and movement of renewable feedstock railcars;
• Environmental compliance reporting: Federal, State and Local (as required);
• Communicate with applicable facility transportation providers;
• Coordination w/ Eco-Energy corporate scheduling department to manage daily logistics and inventory of
product;
• Communication with customers regarding operations, inventory projections, etc.;
• Management and maintenance of applicable facility automation system;
• Carrier access management/compliance through rule adherence and training;
• Complete employee management responsibility (supervision, scheduling, retention, and training);
• Identifies training needs, initiates development of subordinates, and recommends personnel action;
• Troubleshooting of all facility equipment;
• Create and implement robust maintenance program;
• Create, implement, and enforce terminal standard operating procedures;
• Assist in the revisions of standard operating procedures as required;
• Promote company policies & procedures (safety, inventory, operational, etc.);
• Lead team meetings and training sessions regarding terminal procedures, operations and environmental,
health and safety;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule;
• Ensure adherence to product quality standards;
• Be a positive contributor to a culture that presents solutions in order to meet overall corporate goals;
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in an industrial operation (preferably management)
Experience working with and troubleshooting the following strongly preferred:
• Above ground storage tanks
• Product heating units
• Mobile railcar movers
• Rotating equipment / pumps
• Valves
• Quality control
• Utility infrastructure
• Inventory management in agriculture/energy space
• Experience with process and equipment controls – VFDs, computerized plant and equipment controls

Office and outside field operations
