About Us

The Newton Farmers' Market will kick off its 2016 Season promptly at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, June 7th.

The Market is located on the North & West sides of the Jasper County Courthouse.

The market will be open every Tuesday, June 7th through September 13th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., rain or shine.

The market is WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program [FMNP] and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program [SFMNP] authorized.

The Newton Farmers’ Market is growing.

Newton Main Street, which manages the Newton Farmers’ Market, reports more full-time vendors have already signed up for 2016 than throughout all of 2015. “We are seeing excitement from vendors throughout the region about the Newton market,” said Andrew Bassman, executive director of Newton Main Street.

Before the start of the 2016 season, 19 full-time vendors and two part-time vendors have signed up to sell at the market. Through all of 2015, the market had 11 full-time vendors.

New vendors add a wider range of fresh produce, baked goods and arts and crafts, along with new items like products from wineries, Mason jar desserts, flowers, herbal salves, soft pretzels, and more.

The market will also feature booths from non-profit organizations, live music and an assortment of other activities during the season.
